Employment Fairs helping businesses grow

One of the key objectives of the Employment Skills focus are of Prosper Lincoln is that employers and potential employees will connect. Thanks to EmployLNK, this is happening!

EmployLNK is a group of agencies that serve over 5,000 Lincoln residents by connecting veterans, adults and students to employers as they look to hire.

EmployLNK has hosted several career fairs over the past few years. Employers who attend have reported hiring at least 149 people as a result of EmployLNK events and job emails, while from the October 2018 career fair alone, employers reported hiring eight people from 15 interviews.

Case managers who work with the public who are looking for stable employment have positive things to say about the events including, “Happy this collaboration happens,” “Thank you for your work on this very beneficial event,” I always get great information to pass on to my team that works directly with families, and “I appreciate these events. The information changes quickly and this is always useful.”

EmployLNK completed the Fall 2019 Case Manager and Job Seeker Career Fair on April 11th, 2019 at Center for People in Need. Forty businesses, 186 job seekers, and 63 case managers attended the event.

Hear what Wendy Birdsall, President of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce has to say about EmployLNK.
